India which earlier denied supplying arms to sri lanka now admitted so. Yesterday Tamil activists in TamilNadu found 5 lorries of weapons going to Sri Lanka and attacked the lorries. There were lot of weapons inside the lorries. However police denied the accusation saying the army personals were returning from a training program. But then why so much os weapons are carried in the lorries.

Activists belonging to the pro-Tamil nationalist Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (PDK) attacked a convoy of military trucks of the Indian Army allegedly transporting weapons to Sri Lanka. Five trucks were damaged in the attack. Mortar shells were found in the trucks, sources in Chennai said.

According to informed sources, the vehicles at first entered Erode around 2:00 p.m. However, protests erupted there and it was subsequently solved by the intervention of the police. This information was conveyed to the Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam organizers in Coimbatore.

The PDK cadres waited till 3:50 p.m. at Neelaampoor (Neelamboor) near Koayampuththoor (Coimbatore) when the convoy of vehicles came. Protestors threw stones on the military trucks damaging them. They emptied one of the trucks of its contents several packed boxes, including one containing mortar shells, could be seen. There was a subsequent scuffle between the Army personnel and the Tamil activists. The army resorted to lathi-charge in order to keep the activists away. Five activists, including PDK General Secretary Kovai Ramakrishnan were arrested by the police.

However, the Additional Director General of Police, for Law and Order, in a statement refuted the claim that the shipment in these lorries was meant to be supplied to the Sri Lanka Army. He maintained that the Army personnel were merely returning from a training programme in Hyderabad. The high-ranking police official also warned that stern action would be taken against those who indulge in false propaganda.

Political analysts in Chennai, who saw visuals and image grabs on private television channels refuse to buy into the police version. "If indeed the army lorries were returning after training in Hyderabad, what is the need for them to be carrying mortar shells with them? Is there a war going on in any part of India?" they asked.

I hope NP readers have enjoyed reading all these certified lies. Now read the true story.

COIMBATORE: Agitating activists of pro-LTTE outfits on Saturday blocked a convoy of 80 military vehicles near Nilambur and damaged some of the trucks alleging that the materials being transported were meant for Sri Lanka. ( Watch )

Workers of Periyar Dravida Kazhagam, MDMK and some other outfits blocked the army vehicles, pulled out drivers and assistants of four vehicles and removed materials like tents, maps and training equipment, police said.

They also deflated the tyres and broke the window screens of the trucks.

Military personnel accompanying the trucks retaliated by hitting the activists
with iron rods and wooden poles used for pitching tents. A TV reporter covering the event sustained minor injuries, police said.

Col Ajay Sharma of Madukarai regiment, who also reached the spot, told reporters that the men were coming from Hyderabad after training. The army personnel left with their vehicles after police intervened.

The convoy was carrying materials from Hyderabad to Maddukkarai regiment near here, police said.

Some activists were "secured", they said. The pro-LTTE activists have been alleging that India is providing arms to Lankan Army, which the Indian officials have denied.

Still the question remains as why so much of weapons are carried in those lorries when returning from training. We will know the truth only if we get this answered.

I'm wondering whom to believe.

The ever factual Tamilnet or the eternal liars Times of India.

Sri Lanka does not need replenishments of arms and ammunition at this time. They have enough and more right now to mop up the LTTE. Once that is done, there will be many countries that would help GOSL in many fields.

Do I hear DMK failed in their Election stunt by trying to gain votes by raiding a military convoy?

Do I hear DMK clearing land for the LTTE to form their Eelam?

This time, LTTE failed and DMK failed.
