Tamil Tigers 'putting 11-year-old girls on the front line' Child soldiers including girls as young as 11 have been forced to fight on the front line by retreating Tamil Tiger rebels, senior Sri Lankan army officers have claimed.

Division commanders described discovering their enemy included a conscript army of children as they stood on the edge of the 'no fire zone' where 50,000 civilians are believed to be trapped by the once-feared Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elaam (LTTE) making their last stand.

As both sides in the conflict traded claims of war crimes, one army commander spoke of his regret that his men had shot and killed young girls.

It is really not surprising to hear about the Tamil Terrorists (now known as the Losing Terrorists of Tamil Eelam) using girls as young as 11 years of age to fight a losing war for them.

The terrorists who boast of having a cyanide capsule around their necks to commit suicide if they are cornered or captured seem to prolong their capture or death by using these children as their cannon fodder or shield.

This also proves how ruthless this psychopathic Prabhakaran is. Recently, the Terrorist supporters tried to distort facts by saying that the Government of Sri Lanka was using child soldiers. In a vain effort to prove this statement, they published photographs of National Identity Cards of 18 year olds and a doctored photograph of a child, whose cause and manner of death is unknown.

However much the world tries to stop these terrorist brutes from using child soldiers, all requests fall on to deaf ears.

This is heartbreaking - my daughter will be 11 soon so it hits close to home. Children should be playing with friends, not killing perceived enemies.

It is very wrong to recruit children. Kids should have all the freedom they can get.

But I don't believe the army officials are cared about these kids.
"senior Sri Lankan army officers have claimed" What credibility do they have?
The same army officials justified the hospital bombings as legitimate targets.
The same army officials commanded to shell the war zone killing 7000 innocent Tamil civilians including babies even many pregnant women were killed.

This kind of army / defence officials

These officials seems to 'care' about the Tamil kids ans their future.

1. Start an military offensive without any care for these kids.
2. Indiscriminate shelling
3. Starvation
4. Nazi Like detention camps.

Those still seems to come from the movie "Prabakaran"

About caring. These children are not just standing along side LTTE and watching what happens.

What LTTE did to this children is...

They are armed and armed to the teeth - to kill others.
They are forcing them to wear suicide west - to kill others.
They are used as "baits" to lure soldiers to the booby-traps.

Ask any career soldier what would be his reaction at anyone shoots at him in a war front.

I ll say it LOUD. LTTE recruited children. But if you expecting this is a justification for the goverments killing. I''ve to disappoint you. Government has NO excuse at all for their current killings and warcrimes.

And FYI. Did u know that Karuna the friend of Mahinda Rjapakse abducted many hunderds of children with the support of the current Governemt!!! And he is now in the parliament.

Terrorists using children seems to epidemic all over the world. They play on the good hearts of their enemies and try to slip inside their defences, and when inevitably the children are killed, they scream: "Foul! you're killing innocent children!"

That is one of the reasons why all terrorists are recruiting chilren. Terrorists are not humans, so they are against humanity. The forces facing them are humans. It is easy to brainwash a child at the age of eleven. That makes the terrorist's job easy coupled with the "education" methods they have.

Astorlogers were saying till some days back that the time is not good for the media to come and visit the front. But two days back........ (dots means read on)

"Their analysis: 'Not a single scratch mark on the fridge with a body lying at its base, unbroken glass bottles and no pellet marks on the walls, a bottle remains steady on the stretcher, all after the claimed shelling'," he said.

"The message, the government says, is clear: The foreign media have been taken for a ride by the Tamil Tigers."

It looks as if all these pro-LTTE "carnival barkers" suffer from the same syndrome. For the benefit of them, I post this.

Getting to the frontline of the Sri Lankan army's war with the Tamil Tigers entailed a hair-rising helicopter trip over the jungle and a bone-jarring ride past scorched homes to the war zone.

Foreign journalists and aid groups have generally been kept away from the area where government troops have battled the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) for months.

On those rare occasions when the government permits a trip to the front, the hazardous journey there and back takes just one day. Yet, as I found out, it could be a world away.
