Tammy Renee Silas Faces Charges of Abduction in Yair Carillo Case

Tammy Renee Silas faces charges of abduction in the case of newborn Yair Anthony Carillo who was taken three days ago from his mother Maria Gurolla in Tennessee. Tammy Renee Silas posed as an immigration officer then attacked Maria Gurolla with a knife before taking seven-day-old Yair.

The baby's mother told police he was kidnapped Tuesday, after a woman posing as an immigration agent attacked her with a knife.

Police in Alabama were able to track Silas through her car, which was caught on video following the abduction. Tammy Renee Silas is now being held in Morgan County Jail in Alabama.

However baby Yair is being held in the care of a foster family at the moment.
