£6 gallon en route to cause go slows on major motorways.
Tanker dispute sends petrol prices rocketing up 7p over the weekend and Diesel goes higher. I filled up at 112.9p about 5 days ago and already then the quoted price on the sign was 1p higher than that.
We will soon start to see the effects of $135 oil trickling through at yet another 1p rise per week on average. Although Shell were doing well to remain cheaper than even the supermarkets, the recent tanker driver strike has pushed them to being more costly than even Texaco and that's saying something. 7p rise in less than half a week, with another strike perhaps on the way for next weekend.
Fingers crossed for no Hurricane Katrina or Ritas? Or strikes on Iran?
