March 20, 2008; Singur, Bengal; A farmer and his family works in the fields surrounding the under construction Tata motors plant in Singur village in West Bengal. This plant, which will produce the Tata's small car Nano, has recently come under fire from farmers and villagers for forcefull acquisition of agricultural land. The ruling Communist Goverment in the state used strong police force to intimidate poor farmers and grabbed 1013 acres of land. And as the farmers start committing suicide, modern India eagerly waits for the One-lakh car to roll out in mid-October 2008.

Dear Sir, As I went through the TV news today, Mr Ratan Tata is likely to talk to Maharashtra-CM. Sir, kindly convey my suggession as : Raj Thakre of "Maharashtra Navnirman Sena" is running the agitation/movement against Non-marathi people. Neither Balasaheb Thakrey nor Vilas Rao Deshmukh speaking on this issue openly. They are silent supporters due to Vote Bank politics. Not like Bengal but other kind of Unrest can take place any time in future. So, he should go for other states like Karnatka, MP, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttaranchal etc where labour-unrest is comparatively less. This is my view as I observe, rest he (Mr Tata) himself knows better what to do, Thanks.
