If you're fortunate enough to walk around undisturbed
displaying your tattoos this might give you food for thought:
depending where you live, some tattoos are just plain taboo.

Apparently it's okay to sport a tattoo of a Cross on your
bosom or arm in most societies, but not a beautiful Calligraphic
Urdu inscription on your back. That's what one Pakistani female
discovered in Mumbai, India yesterday. If this brings the recent
Mumbai attacks to mind, note that this was not brought on by any
anti-Pak sentiment, since the assailants could not have initially
known where the tattooed female was from. No, this was more a
case of religious rage, staunch Muslim women beating up another
female who also happened to be a Muslim. The incident was
instigated by a man, nevertheless, who complained to his mother
about the tattoo then left it up to dear old Ma to pacify him by
having the girl assaulted in the mall restroom.

The Mumbai Mirror's Vikas Mishra has certainly done a great
job here :

I had no idea! How interesting.

Hi Amy,

thanks for reading and recommending. I lean to items from India because

I am an Indian by birth and spent 26 years there growing up amid

some horrible violence, sexual harassment and inhuman behavior.

How did he even see it?

Backless ? Not quite. The blouse that accompanies the pretty modest Salwar Kameez can often be as revealing as any bra in the back.

Very strange but quite interesting.

I think she was wrong in inscribing such a thing on her back, after all she hails from a country where even inscribing a plain tattoo is seen as an evil deed, she must had given a second thought to this, at least when she was going to inscribe something holy. Also, I feel the other party was in wrong too for they beat her, they could have had talked to her peacefully regarding this, after all they were Muslims and Islam doesn't allow such a brutal mentoring, but, that's just me.

Hope she would be happy back home.
