TEA Party Movement marches on with July 4th, 2009 protest rallies
From 750 Tea Parties in April 2009, to 1505 on July 4, 2009, the Tea Party Movement appears to be picking up momentum. Even with faced with contrived attempts by Government officials to prevent the gatherings, the TEA Party often persevered. The ACLU has even got involved in demanding city, county and state officials not infringe on the TEA Party Movement’s 1st Amendment rights. 4 TEA Party Rallies were held in Minnesota. They occurred in Aitkin, Bemidji, Chanhassen and St. Paul.
Here in St. Paul MN, State Capital Groundskeepers tried to sabotage Minnesotan’s 1st Amendment Rights of Freedom of Speech and Association by not approving the TEA Party Event on the State Capital Mall until 10 days before the event....
