Tea Party protests were held all across the United States on April, 15, tax day, and thousands of people stood up and said they had been 'taxed enough already' and took part in the protests.
This July 4th holiday, will see more Tea Party protests across the country and official Tea Party locations can be found here, and people can add to the list as well to announce their event.
In Texas, organizers are already discussing who they want to be at their protest and who the protest is for. About 50,000 people are expected to attend
On July Fourth, organizers of America's Tea Party at Southfork Ranch want their event to be different.
That means no elected officials, no political candidates or party leaders on the stage.
"This is about the people talking to elected officials, not the elected officials talking to us," said Ken Emanuelson, a member of the event's steering committee. "Our ultimate goal is the building of neighborhood citizens groups across North Texas."
In Atlanta, the 'Freedom Rally and Tea Party will be held at the Georgia State Capitol from 5 pm to 9pm, but the music festival will begin at 4pm.
Event hosts are planning for the Freedom Music Fest to begin at 4 p.m. A full schedule of speakers, musical entertainment, and protest demonstrations will continue until 9:00 pm. Fireworks are scheduled at the conclusion of events at nearby Centennial Park at 9 p.m. Local Freedom and Tea Party groups will be present throughout the festivities at the State Capitol with information on topics of interest.
In Illinois the protest is scheduled for noon on Saturday by the Harris Bank and the former Baker's Square on Route 14.
A flier from the group Patriots United requests that protesters not block traffic or cross the busy thoroughfare and that they park in the Harris Bank and former Baker’s Square parking lots.
“We want to rally our members and affect change,” said Patriots United event coordinator Mary Alger of Crystal Lake.
Participants are asked to bring American flags and placards and come along ready to voice their opinion.
People are planning to march along Highway 99 in Fresno, California, and organizers are expecting over 15,000 people to attend. The day starts at 9am.
The march will wrap up at 11 a.m. and participants will be back at the Agri-Center to hear speakers.
Music will be played throughout the day, with activities for children including a bounce house and a water slide.
Attendees will have a chance to visit a variety of booths where they can make T-shirts, stamp items and write letters to their political representatives.
There will also be a hot dog eating contest.
Over 1,300 Tea Party Protests are scheduled for July 4th already.
