A teacher in Wales, UK is in hot water after it was alleged she spent an entire half day at work browsing facebook and ebay while her students were made to sit silently and do mindless excercises. It's even been allegeded that she sometimes turned her ebay activity into an activity for her students, taking them with her to the post office to mail items she had sold.

Sian Mediana, 40, spent up to four hours a day on her computer, while children sat in the classroom with her, it was alleged.

She bought and sold goods on eBay, engaged in online banking, and looked at Friends Reunited.

Two teaching assistants who working with her said she was often seen "trawling the internet."

One of them Karen Lawrence said: "Sian had a computer on a desk and she spent a considerable amount of time during the day using it. I was aware she was using it for personal reasons - she was buying and selling items on eBay.

"If she sold something on eBay we would turn it into activity for the children and take them with us to the Post Office. She would also look at financial sites and talk to us about it during work.
