Ted Nugent Threatens Obama: Video
Did Ted Nugent Just Threaten President Barack Obama?
Ted Nugent is determined to maintain his reputation as the Motor City Madman. In campaigning for Mitt Romney at an NRA convention, Ted Nugent said, "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year."
Did Ted Nugent really just threaten President Obama? Technically, yes. Will the Secret Service take that threat literally? They have to, at least to an extent: a Secret Service spokesman told NY Mag, "We are aware of it, and we'll conduct an appropriate follow up."
This is by no means the craziest thing that Ted Nugent has said or done. Ted Nugent became his underage girlfriend's legal guardian in 1978, and said that stoned Grateful Dead fans should be, and we quote, "go to prison in an overcrowded cell where a huge, unclean black man will fuck him in the ass every night".
Come on, though, seriously. Anybody who's seen Ted Nugent's short-lived reality show knows that he's more dangerous to himself than to anyone else.
However, we have to give Ted Nugent points for coining the phrase "intellectually vacuous punk".
"We’ve got four Supreme Court justices who don’t believe in the Constitution. Does everybody here know that four of the Supreme Court justices not only determined you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms, four Supreme Court justices signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense? That sounds like a stoned hippie. That doesn’t sound like a Supreme Court anything [sic]."
That whole rant should probably be fact-checked, as Barack Obama is only responsible for two Supreme Court appointment so far: Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
Ted Nugent just gets excited, that's all.
