Telangana cannot be achieved through street fights: Rosaiah
Vijayawada, Mar 6 Former Chief Minister Mr. K. Rosaiah has said that achieving bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to create the new state of Telangana state would not be possible through street fights.
Talking to the media at the state guest house here, he said apart from impeding the progress and development of the state, the Telangana and Seemandhra (united AP) agitations would not achieve anything more. He said taking up agitations which would arouse tensions would hamper progress and also become a hindrance to human rights.
Stating that the central government was considering the Sri Krishna committee report on Telangana in depth, he has expressed the opinion that the government should be given sufficient time to study the report and come to a conclusion. He has also maintained that every one concerned should abide by the decision of the central government on the matter. He has appealed to every one to follow restraint and help in establishing peace in the state.
