Accused child abductor Terri-Lynne McClinitic was taken to the search site for Tori Stafford's body, a farmer's field about an hour away from Woodstock, Ontario, in the hopes that she would be able to lead them to the 8-year old's remains.

Terri-Lynne McClintic and her boyfriend Michael Thomas C.S. Rafferty, 28, have been charged in the April 8, 2009 abduction of Tori Stafford.  Michael Rafferty is further charged with first degree murder, a charge that is rarely laid without a body.  The evidence against Rafferty is not known but was likely compelling for such a charge to be laid without Tori Stafford's remains.

Terri-Lynne McClintic was seen sitting slumped in the back of an unmarked police vehicle, hands behind her back, as it left the area near Fergus, Ont., just north of Guelph and about an hour's drive from Stafford's hometown of Woodstock.

Meanwhile, grief counsellors returned to Oliver Stephens Public School in Woodstock hoping to help the grade school students deal with the emotions over the death of their classmate.

The Grade 3 student was abducted as she left the school on April 8. Police said Wednesday they believe she was killed that day, or shortly after, by her abductors.

Meanwhile, Tori Stafford's loved family and friends continue to struggle with the terrible news of her murder.  Tori's mother Tara McDonald has gone into seclusion and those close to her say the news has hit her hard.  Tori's father Rodney Stafford is speaking out and his justifiable anger is clear in his comments.  Tori's older brother Daryn Stafford, 11, is said to be very confused and overwhelmed with grief at the loss of his little sister.

Children at Tori Stafford's elementary school are receiving counseling and support in coping with the murder of their friend and peer.  Oliver Stephens Public School will continue to offer group and one-on-one support to students and their families, as well as teach the children about street sense and personal safety.

The worst outcome imaginable has become reality in the Tori Stafford case.  Tori's family and the community of Woodstock will need time to heal.  A huge part of that healing process will involve bringing her body home to her loved ones for burial.

Investigators said they won't stop looking until they can reunite the eight-year-old with her family.

Victoria's father, Rodney Stafford, said he needs to see his daughter's body before he believes she is dead.

"I love her with all my heart and until I see her, I will not lay this to rest," Stafford said Wednesday.

ALL murderers should get the death penalty. Canada needs stiffer laws. This is disgusting.

I fully agree with you there. I think that Canada has the most ridiculous laws for murder. There have been quite a few cases that needed the death penalty in place. I think if they brought it into play then people may actually think much harder on killing someone.....just a thought!

You all need to get a grip. The point of our incarceration system is to rehabilitate.  Your all no better then the killers themselves. Barbarians. The death penalty is ridiculous and a barbarous tool of the past. Your all outraged because of the victim, and the irresponsible media coverage on this event. DID I fail to mention how incompetent the police have been in this investigation ? They basically let an 18 year old take them on a wild goose hunt for 2 weeks. YOU all make me ashamed to be a Canadian.

MatthewRT, you're the barbarian You'd be singing a differenty tune if ithadhappened to a member of your family. Idios like you make me want to string yo up and beat you like a pinata. Too bad it didn't happen to you instead of an innocent 8-year-old this planet doesn't need sickoslike you. Please go die.

"Idios" ? "yo" ? Please learn to spell before you try to insult me then wish death upon myself and family. IF this were a little black girl from Jane & Lawrence, you would not give a rats ass, there would be NO national media coverage. Also, HOW am I a sicko ? Did I condone the actions of the accused ? The only sicko here is you for wishing such things on someone else.

On to some of the other people commenting now...

1. Our legal system is fine punishment wise. The death penalty has been abolished for years, and is NOT coming back.

2. Torture ? Are you insane ? That is just as sadistic as the killer themselves....

3. Capital punishment in the long run costs more then housing an inmate. Remember they will sit on death row for over 10+ years, in isolation/special confinement. This costs 10x the amount of what it costs to house a regular inmate... Not to mention how much the actual execution.... This argument has been proven null many times over.

Matthew RT, I completely agree with you in every aspect. Although people clearly have different thoughts on what the punishment should be, capital punishment is not an acceptable route. You were exactly right when you said resorting to that is just as barbaric. Canada's legal system is the way it is for a reason, it is the most progressive and affectivce (unless the goal has changed from rehabilitation to sinking to the level of the murderer). Anyways, long story short, you're right in what you said and the arguments behind it.

On a side note, rachele, I understand and respect you're opinion, you are certainly entitled to it even if I do not share it. However, wishing death upon someone is unnecessary and for lack of a better word, sick

I believe in the death penalty if a person is proven guilty of intentional murder. I believe this would possibly deter most of these monsters from murdering.

The amount of monies spent on these people for housing, counselling, legal fees and health care are astronomical. While incarceration these murders are given more benefits than an average person. Education, recreational facilities, health care, 3 square meals a day, their laundry done for them, they are allowed to smoke cigarettes in prison, (meanwhile an elderly person, or someone on death doorstep) who is bed-ridden is not allowed to smoke in any health care facility. Once I was admitted to hospital. I was sitting in the cafeteria, having a tea, watching this elderly woman, in a wheelchair, with both her legs amputated, sitting outside in a snow storm, having a cigarette. On one occasion I had the opportunity to speak with her. She was a nurse during the war, 80+ years old. This is really sad when these murderers are given more benefits then the average person who has worked hard all their lives to have to support these monsters in jail.

I have a niece who was gang beaten and almost lost her life at the hands of 4 juvenile delinquents. They spent 3 months in a detention centre. During a recess in the trial, I was outside getting some fresh air and in ear shot of these smoking hoodlums, they boosted how being in detention was like a holiday for them. They got to have their family there for a big Christmas feast and partied, they were allowed to have friends visit, played pool, watched TV and 'hung out' together. We the tax payers paid for all their expenses from legal fees to housing. Thank God my niece is still with us. To say that she is alive is one thing, but well she is not. The physical and mental injuries she substained at the hands of these monsters will never heal. This was 12 years ago and 6 years ago, after being deathly ill for over a year, they found a mass on her liver which was caused from the vicious attack. No lawsuit was filed and no apologizes were every made. My niece was 14, A+ student, vibrant, beautiful, healthy, carefree to name a few. The monsters that attacked her were defending a 'loser' (guy) who was repeating grade 9 for the 3rd time. He was given a project to do with a group of classmates. He did not participate in the project and when it was handed in, my niece told the teacher he did not have any input in the project. He then cried to his female friends and they beat my niece. Where is the justice?

My niece managed to get a university education through all of her health issues which she still suffers from to this day. The 4 monsters have done nothing productive with their lives. 2 of them are married, common-law, with children abusing our welfare system, 1 is not married, has 3 children and raising them on welfare and I don't know about the 4th one.

Basically what I'm saying is that our Canadian laws need to change IMO. Murderers, pedophiles, young offenders and impaired drivers, in that order) would be a great start to revamp. If there's positive proof of murder, lethal injection is the way to go. These people cannot be rehabilitated and we shouldn't even try. Do they really deserve to be treated so respectfully? JMO I don't believe so. Maybe we should go back to the 'bread and water' days. Leave the criminals in their cage and feed them only bread and water. No other benefits. Unfortunately 'we' still have to financially support them.

These people are already dead inside.  They have no soul whatsoever and will be punished for

a long time in ways we do not understand.. I know if I was a parent I would want to "torture" them....waterboarding is would not enough for the creeps.  As a holy book says "vengeance is mine"..

Schools and neighbor hoods have got to hire more people for all the children .  Many are left alone too early because their parents have to work.  I believe in a neighborhood big brother approach...cameras..the works.. I  know we can institute more to protect our children who do not have supervision after school.  Government wants to be big.. Forget some of these ridiculous dollars these congressman are taking home to their states so they get re elected and put that money into protection for children.

I realize each case is different as this is.  There is a popular book called The Shack

that tells a story that does actually help some people when a child is murdered.  It could

take 3 to  5 years before a parent has to consider any "recipe"   for the grief process.
