Terrorist blew himself in Peshawar

A suspected terrorist blew himself up during a Police raid in the Matni area District Peshawar on Saturday9th January2010.Six policemen were injured in the incident. The injured policemen have been taken to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Lady Reading Hospital. Four suspects have also been arrested in the raid. The man, known as Irfan, blew himself up as police raided a house in the Adezai village in Matani on the outskirts of Peshawar.Talking to DawNews the tribal head of Adezai Lashkar, Noor Malik said that the person was to appear before the Adezai jirga to prove his innocence. “But the man was most probably trying to target Jirga ( peace council meeting),” Noor Malik said. According to peace activist Noor Malik People of the area will continue their struggle against Islamic militants who are involve in serious crimes against innocent people.
