Terrorist watch list growing
“Hey, Mr. Terrorist, are you trying to duck into line in front of grandma and grandpa and that little kid? Get back there and wait your turn.” TSA
Talk about a story without legs, immediately following the seizure of hard drives and electronic media from the bin Laden camp, reporters run to Eric Holder to ask if he has received additions to his terrorist watch list. Wait a minute, the electronic media is still being analyzed. Do you think they just searched file for terrorist-wannabe-on-the-watch list? Give it some time.
Homeland Security will announce their findings soon enough if all of the parties are sharing as they should.
“Attorney General Holder: No-fly, terrorist watch lists will probably grow
By Jerry Markon, Published: May 4
The trove of material seized in the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound will probably lead to additional people being added to the government’s no-fly and terrorist watch lists, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said Wednesday.
Holder, speaking before the Senate Judiciary Committee, said a team of federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies is reviewing the material and “will make appropriate decisions with regard to who might be added to the terrorist watch list, the no-fly list, all those things.’’
Asked whether that meant more people will be added to the lists, Holder said: “My guess would be that we probably will.’’ He declined to specify what has been found among bin Laden’s possessions.
There are about 10,000 people on the no-fly list, U.S. officials have said. The government’s master terrorist watch list is one of about a dozen lists or databases used by counterterrorism officials.”
