No not that one its a cat called Thatcher, the bereaved owner John Baird sending a text message to a friend in Canada sparked of a lot of response.

Well when the Canadian Prime Minster received the news he had to respond.... and it became very embarrassing

A misconstrued text message announcing the passing of a beloved pet has sparked a flurry of diplomatic activity in Canada.

Transport Minister John Baird sent a message reading: "Thatcher has died".

Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper was soon informed that 84-year-old former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher had passed away.

But it was actually Mr Baird's beloved cat, named after his political heroine, who had died.

Very funny, especially to those of us (myself included) who are not among those who "text" or "twitter."  Not that I'm against these technologies, it's just that I have a budget to live on which does not include texting. As for Twitter(?)...I'm online enough already!

Actually texting is very cheap here in the Philippines 1 peso (2 cents)  per message 15 peso to UK. (25 cents) so we uses it all the time.

I wonder if Baird got a strip ripped off him.  Haven't heard a thing about it here.

It not what any Prime Minister would want to release on a press conference, lol The British media however must of got the story first, The Labour Party can not keep secrets for long. Baird must be thanking his God that Maggy was a member of the Conservative party.

However Prime Ministers question time will be worth watching next Wednesday, so Baird may reap the wraith of Gordon Brown, lol  But I believe it will just cause amusement in Parliament and Maggy will ask Baird if she can attend the cats funeral, lol. She has got a very good sense of humor she will say something witty I am sure.
