Thomas Jenkins was rushed to hospital where he is in serious condition. All the bones in the left side of his face are broken. The attacker was 55-year-old Paul Washington and the video shows him walking up to Thomas Jenkins and just puching him in the face, then him falling to the ground.

Thomas Jenkins has previously suffered a stroke and was on blood thinners; witnesses say that there was blood everywhere after the attack.

Some witnesses are saying that Thomas Jenkins asked Paul Washington to show his receipt as he left the store a few days earlier and that Jenkins may have bumped in to Washington as well.

A police sergeant happened to be in the area during the time of the attack and witnessed the event. North Versailles Chief of Police James Comunale stated, “He just cold cocked him. He went up there, and there was no, ‘Hey, you.’ He just went up and whacked him.”

Paul Washington faces charges of harassment, assault, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal mischief. He is still being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
