Thousands of US Troops Land in Israel

According to the latest reports US troops have been landing in Israel for what exactly is unclear. What has been reported is that there will be a joint military exercise later this year. However, as the US Navy  ship(s) are set to dock at Israeli ports all possibilities are in play.

According to Debka files it appears that this is coming on the heels of Iranian threats to close the Straits of  Hormuz. Latest reports indicate that thousands of American troops are expected to be on Israeli soil until the end of 2012.
