There has been three explosions on the Spanish island of Majorca.

Two at separate beach restaurants at 2.30pm local time and a second shortly after.

The third bomb was at Palma's Central Square where there is a large shopping mall. The bomb at been placed under the mall.

No one has been hurt as someone claiming to be from ETA gave a telephone warning.

There have been no reports of injuries following the small blasts in the major city of Palma.

The El Pais newspaper said a bomb had been left in a beach bag at the La Rigoletta restaurant, located in Paseo del Portitxol, on the Can Pere Antoni beachfront.

It was believed to have been placed in the women's toilets.

The building had been evacuated after a taxi firm received a warning call from someone claiming to represent the Basque separatist group, a spokesman for the regional government said.

Local authorities did not release any details on the second blast.

Thanks for this. I think the update now is that there have been three explosions confirmed on the island of Mallorca.

Three small bombs exploded on Sunday in places frequented by tourists in the capital of the island of Mallorca, Spanish government officials said.

"There has been a third explosion underneath the Plaza Mayor (the central square in Palma), but it was a small device, even weaker than the other two," a government spokeswoman said after the third bomb blast.

The first blast hit around 2:30 pm (1230 GMT) in women's toilets at a beachfront pizza restaurant.

The second explosion happened shortly afterwards in another restaurant nearby.

Then around 6:00 pm a third small bomb went off in a shopping centre located under a major city square.
