In a rare occurrence, a small 1965 Piper Comanch 260 plane collided with three cars in the oncoming traffic on US Highway 101 Sunday morning. The plane experienced engine problems and had to land on the busy runway in Santa Barbara, California. Other reports suggest the plane ran out of fuel. The crash happened around 10:30 AM, well past the rush hour. Nine people were involved in the crash. No one was hurt.
Only one passenger from a car involved in the crash was treated for injuries and released.
Luckily, the crash took place at 10:36 a.m. local time, after morning rush hour traffic.
