Three Injured In Heavy Shelling Between Taliban And Security Forces In Mohmand Agency

GHALLANAI: The fighting between Taliban militants of the banned TTP and the security forces continued for the third consecutive night in the tehsil of Lakarro. Two more people were injured; a mosque and several houses in Bain Khel area of Lakarro were damaged. The injured persons were identified as Wazir Khan son of Malang Khan and Toti Khan son of Sanab Gul. While an FC personnel, Lance Naik Wali Khan also got minor injuries in Mamad Gat Mohmand Rifles Wing. Sources told that fighting with light guns continued for the whole night while Taliban had been firing mortars with intervals that were retaliated by security forces with artillery shelling from Ghallanai, MR headquarters. Most of their shells landed in Bain Khel area causing damages to houses. People have already started evacuating their houses in the wake of predictable operation of the area and hundreds of families are shifting to the safer places.
