Three men charged in case of body in stairwell.
So sad :-(
Thirty-five-year-old Radford Wayne Seaton was found dead early Tuesday morning in the stairwell of a West Broadway apartment building. Police said Seaton did not know his alleged attackers and appears to have been the victim of random violence. "It's hard to say what their motive was," said police spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen. "It appears random, it appears totally senseless." Seaton died as a result of "severe trauma to the upper body," Michalyshen said. The 200 Good St. apartment building is owned by Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corp. Seaton did not live in the building, nor did his alleged attackers. Michalyshen said it's possible Seaton was in the building seeking shelter from the cold. A number of personal items were stolen from Seaton during and following the attack, Michalyshen said, including a personal music player and some jewelry. Someone found Seaton's body about 6:45 a.m. and called 911. Tenants reported hearing loud noises in the building three to four hours before Seaton's body was discovered.
