The terrorists active in Pakistan seem have adopted a new tactic to avoid arrest as three most wanted terrorists blew themselves up when police raided a home in the port city of the country on Friday.

Three most wanted terrorists, belonging to a banned outfit, blew themselves up after police raided a home at Baldia Town in Karachi here on Friday.

According to sources, police raided the area after tip-off from an alleged terrorist that his three associates, all of them belonging to a banned outfit, were holed up at a home in Sector-11 of the Baldia Town.

They hurled five hand grenades at the police before blowing themselves with explosives.

Meanwhile, Karachi CCPO Wasim Ahmed confirmed that three persons were killed after one of them blew himself during raid while another abducted transporter was also killed in suicide blast.

Police found a tied body under the debris of gutted home who was identified as Shaukat Afridi. The deceased was kidnapped for ransom some three month back. Militants were demanding US$5 million for his release.

Earlier, police announced through loud speakers not to come out of their homes which spread tension among the residents.

One of the militants was involved in killing of Allama Hassan Turabi and Nishtar Park suicide blast.

According to bomb disposal squad, nine to 10-KG explosives were used in the blast while evidence of C-4 explosives was also found. Blast caused three-feet deep hole in the home while an other bomb was also diffused.

The police seized six hand grenades, three TT pistols, SMG, explosives, suicide jackets, Jihadi literature, CDs and tapes.
