DHARMSHALA---Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama is on the verge of retirement, said Karma Cheophel, speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-exile in Dharamsala, seat of Tibetan government-in-exile. Cheophel while talking to reporters said, "His holiness talked about the forthcoming special general meeting to be convened in November. Earlier he used to say that he was semi retired but now he says he is almost completely retired." "His holiness emphasized on education, not general education but specialized education and that Tibetan young people must specialize in different fields of education," added Cheophel. Dalai Lama made his first public appearance on Saturday during the celebration of the 48th anniversary of Tibetan Children Village (TCV) School, after his surgery for the removal of gallstones. "His holiness has made his first appearance ever since he returned from the hospital. So it is a great pleasure for TCV students. And we wish to celebrate our next anniversary inibet," said Woethen, a student of TCV school. Meanwhile, Dalai Lama has called a special meeting of Tibetan exiles in November to discuss this year's political unrest in Tibet and the future of the Tibetan movement.
