Tim Kinley - MN refuses to release wrongfully jailed Christian
This article is a follow up to my previous article publicising Tim Kinley's plight.
Tim Kinley in jail for teaching bible lessons to his children using the bible and 10 Commandments
Tueday December 22, 2009, Attorney Jill Clark, tried to get Tim Kinley released on a Furlough for Christmas and extending to his hearing in January. The Court refused, choosing to punish him challenging the Courts wrongly based ruling that violated his 1st Amendment Right of Freedom of Religion. Such is the fate of political activists.
Our Minnesota Government is retaliating for Mr. Kinley enforcing his constitutional rights and for his lawful attempts at Judicial Reform.
Please say a prayer for Tim Kinley today. He refused to accept Minnesota infringement on his Freedom of Religion. In so doing, he also defended your right to Freedom of Religion.

Tim Kinley was sent to jail for failure to pay child support. He lost custody of his kids because he held them over a balcony and threatened to drop them. This was the finding of the court during his custody dispute with his ex-wife. The court found that it was not safe for him to be with his kids alone. He had to have supervised visits with his kids. None of this had to do with his religious views. The prohibition imposed upon him with regard to talking about religion with his kids had to do with the fact that it made the kids uncomfortable and that he did it in a destructive way. Religion can be used and taught in a bad way.

Hello Yequalsx:
It is disturbing that you recite your allegations despite Mr. Kinley winning his appeal.
Again, the Judge was overturned.
Appeals are almost impossible to win. And yet he prevailed.
Tim Kinley should never have been seperated from his children. And he
should never have been forced to pay child support. He should never have been forced
to choose between paying his appelate attorney and paying all of his child support.
His X-wife ran off with another man and his children. Then she brought the new man
and his children to Mr. Kinley's church to rub his nose in the matter. That speaks
volumes as to her character and motivations.
Tim Kinley has been financially ruined and emotionally devastated by this matter.
And he was wrongfully seperated from his children for years. Yet, dispite the
appeal being overturned, you want to continue to cast stones.
Tim Kinley is a hero and patriot. Because he fought the incorrect ruling, no other
judge will be able to cite his case as juris prudence to unconstitionally trample
anyone elses constitutionally guaranteed freedom of religion.
Enough said.
Tonight, Feb 26, 20/20 will air another case where an American is in jail for teaching
religion to their children.
Those were my thoughts.

I read the article, cynical and there are many aspects that are troubling..if on the surface all is true as per your article it would not be a justified jailing...however, i wonder if there is more to this story than the article alludes to.....all must obey the court rulings even if they disagree with them...or face punishment...we teach our children to obey, he was told by the court, don't know why, to not use the bible...i don't agree with tthis, bu then i don't know the whole story...there must be more.
as a single parent who received no support money from the ex husband...due to his unwillingness to support his children...he quit his job so he wouldn't have to support the children, i can understand the financial hardship this causes, not just for the custodial parent, but for the children..
he could have gone back to court to have the amount lessened or stopped payment through the courts but didn't do so..but chose not to pay...this isnt right.
I feel bad he went to jail, but i also have a daughter who has a child who is not receiving child support from the father, here we ahve the same ruling..you can lose your drivers license if you don't pay your child support.....he hasn't......
there are two sides to each story and it would be interesting to see what the mothers side of the story is....
thank you for bringing this to our attention

Get to the chase, cut to the chase, make a long story short, get to the point. People do not have time, in this day and age to examine all that.

As I understand it, he's not in jail for teaching his children out of a bible. He's in jail because he refused to pay his child support. There are serious consequences for non-payment of child support (and there should be). He can pay it or he can sit in a jail cell if he thinks that's a better deal.
