"The Time of Judgement has arrived to the Land of Terror"
“International legal systems have so far failed to bring the Sri Lankan War Criminals to justice. It is time for the average Joe, an ethical shopper to say No to “Holiday Packages to Sri Lanka”, No to “Sri Lankan Airlines”, No to “Sri Lankan Cricket”, No to “Ceylon Tea”, No to “Garments or any other products made in Sri Lanka” and No to any “Organisations having commercial interests in Sri Lanka” until Sri Lanka stop the killings of the innocents with it's death squads, until the last person is set free from the death camps of Sri Lanka, until the people of Sri Lanka start to live without the fear of abductions, torture, rape and murder by the Sri Lankan State and its armed forces, Until Sri Lanka starts to treat all its citizens equally with dignity and give them the rights they deserve”
“Money goes into the hands of Sri Lanka are now used to destroy individuals, families and communities therefore, it is rational, ethical, sensible and right to stop supporting a country that is determined continue with its genocide agenda, despite calls from the international community”

For the less enlightened, this blog-post has been published by a well known Tamil activist from Surrey in his personal Telegraph blog, and it is not a bona fide newspaper article written by a real British journalist (Richard Dixons.. I mean come on) in the actual Telegraph newspaper.
The readership too, as seen by the enthusiastic comments, are all from the Tamil diaspora.

It doesn't matter who has written this blog, what is in this article is so true. Racist Sri Lankan government are killing 1400 a week in the death camps. Journalists are abducted and killed. Sri Lanka is no longer a safe country to live. Anyone who are critical of the Sri Lankan government are branded as LTTE supporters. UK ministers, UK journalists, US diplomats. Well anyone who criticise the atrocities of the government are called Tiger supporters. Mr JamalDavid , you are commenting on the writer of the article but you have nothing to say about the content. You have the freedom to write here but your rulers block web sites in your country. Why don't you request your masters to give the freedom to people that you yourself enjoy here. I have seen that many articles are posted by the Sri Lankan army. In a way, nowpublic is used as a platform by the Sri Lankan racist regime. You are torturing and killing innocent civilians in the death camps. Your leaders have killed innocent women and children with banned weapons. I don't think you can keep on deceiving the whole world. Time has come for the human rights abusers of Sri Lanka to shut up and stop their false propagandas. All the UK newspapers are writing about the dirty games played by your rulers. Does it mean they are all LTTE? By branding many diplomats, journalists and legitimate governments as LTTE supporters, you are indirectly implying that you are the culprits. Because the world no longer can sit an enjoy while you are killing the innocent children and women. You have no guts to comment about articles in a constructive manner but you act like children and saying something about a writer or speaker. Doesn't matter who wrote this, I don't care who this Dixon is but these views are echoed by all the peace loving people all over the world. It is time that Sri Lankan army and its supporters withdrew all their false propaganda materials from nowpublic.

It's only true because that's how you people can justify your continued stay in Western countries. The writer, as well as most of the readers, are Tamil refugees. They would have to go back to their poverty stricken villages in Sri Lanka unless they can convince the Western governments that Sri Lankans are going to kill them.
As far as I know, the blocking of Lankanewsweb is a publicity stunt. All Sri Lankan IPs have been blocked by the website to give the illusion that the government blocked it to hide something. They've stolen a photograph of the president's son in the middle of a rugby match from his website, and have claimed it is the photo of him being beaten up by Tamil refugees.
I'm sure there are hundreds of deaths every week in the camps. There are 300000 people in those camps, and the Sri Lankan government never promised them immortality. It's natural that some of them (especially as many are old, suffering from chronic malnutrition and other complications) would die from natural causes every week. I don't think it amounts to 1400 and there is absolutely no basis for this number apart from an "anonymous reliable source", UK tabloid code for LTTE lobby.
If we wanted to kill all of them, we didn't have to waste months and months risking the lives of our own soldiers. We could have easily carpet bombed the terrorists along with the civilians in the war zone in a couple of days. The reason it took so long, and the reason why so many of our soldiers died, was because we tried to minimize the civilian deaths to the reasonable extent possible.
There's no point in countering any arguments in this article because they are pure and unadulterated LTTE propaganda without an iota of truth. It's a lie, wrapped in a fantasy and deep fried in bull-sh-t.

It is better to live like a dog in the western countries than living as a Tamil in Sri Lanka. Animals have more rights in these countries. The term refugee is after all not a bad thing. When hitler tortured and killed millions of Jewish people, they went to many countries as refugees. Even Albert Einstein was a refugee.
It is not an issue hundreds or thousands, but the truth is that Tamils are treated worse than animals. You won't see so many deaths even in animal farm.
I don't think there is any point in arguing because Sri Lanka has a lot to lie and lot to hide. Sri Lanka is now a cursed country on this planet

"It is better to live like a dog in the western countries than living as a Tamil in Sri Lanka"
Now that is interesting. Pity, no one thought so earlier. The diaspora could have lobbied and protested and fasted and immolated to get all the Sri Lanka Tamils refugee status in other countries, instead of funding a war for separatism.
If Tamils are in camps and also are treated badly as the diaspora so screams; none other than the diaspora has to take the blame for funding and supporting a silly cause which lead to this situation.
Yet, the question is...do all Tamils in Sri Lanka feel it would be better to live a dog's life in another country?

Mr. Chinna chirippu:
How long are you going to blame LTTE for Sri Lanka's faults ? LTTE was not there when the successive Sri Lankan governments were oppressing Tamils, and the LTTE is not here when the current Sri Lankan government is oppressing the Tamils in Sri Lanka.
It is always something, isn't it? Just any and every reason to root out Tamils from Sri Lanka; to obstruct their lives in any way possible.
In manycountries, animals rights are far better than the Tamils' rights in Sri Lanka right now.
If you want to deny that, then ask the Mahinda government to let jouranlists and aid agencies to see the situation first hand, rather than setting photo-ops to lie to the world.

Mr/Ms Tamiya,
"In manycountries, animals rights are far better than the Tamils' rights in Sri Lanka right now."
You are writing from Texas, I note. For your kind information, right now I am in Sri Lanka, and it was just today that I went to Colombo 6 also known as Wellawatta...to visit my relatives (Sri Lankan Tamils) and for some textile shopping. My! what a busy town it is! Congesed too!! And predominantly Tamil!!! Mind you, ladies wearing 'pottu's on their foreheads, garlands in their hair, most people talking in nothing but Tamil, marketing, shopping, getting about with their day was common sight. Stocked-to-the-hilt big 3-storied shops with fleets of sales personnel (Tamils) where I was met with a 'Vaanga ammah' was indeed a paradise for shoppers. Now here is my question....what better rights do animals in many countries enjoy than the Tamils in Sri Lanka?
I personally feel that if you and your likes decided to fund the so-called oppressed Tamils by primarily 'educating' them rather than supporting violence to achieve a separate state, things woud have been very much different. As you may know, it is true that the pen is mightier than the sword, always and all ways.
Journalists and aid workers of the past have proven themselves and I believe that the farther they are are from whatever or where ever, the better it is for the entire world. The fact is that Sri Lanka has succeeded in crushing down a terrorist outfit without the interfrence of aid workers and journalists and Sri Lanka will bring back the North and East to normalcy without such interferences too. Anyway, one day they will be allowed in, I am sure...Until such time, be a little patient. What is a few months as against 30 years, after all?

Tamils in Sri Lanka are the blood relatives of the Tamils living overseas. Only difference is that the ones living outside of the country can speak freely. Most of the countries are civilised these days but Sri Lanka. Tamils whether they are living in Sri Lanka or outside are fed up with the way how they are treated. If you people are geniune, why are you stopping the journalists to see the IDP camps. You know what, I don't want to argue much with pepole who are rigid and stubborn. Facts will remain the same. You have been killing Tamils for more than 60 years.Tamils are treated like slaves and prisoners. Time has come for you to reap. Cries of the women and children died in Vanni will haunt you and your children.
