Time magazine, not content with its choice to feature Barack Obama on the cover seven times in the last year--compared to John McCain's appearance only two times--has entered the VP fray with a list of the worst American vice presidents of all time.

Everyone who knows about Elbridge Gerry, raise your hand. Ah huh. It's fun to notice that Time names Richard Nixon as one of the worst, followed by--Nixon's VP, Spiro Agnew. Also on the list: Dick Cheney.

Interestingly enough, in modern times, with the current Democrat and Republican parties, Time can only find bad Republican vice presidents.

Amble through Time's version of VP loser history here.
