TNA MP Shivanathan Kishore, who refrained from voting at the vote on the emergency vote, says his party has decided to conduct a disciplinary inquiry against him.

The MP has told the media that as a representative of the people elected by their vote, he would act independently hereafter.

He has also said that serving the Tamil people cannot be done while staying in foreign countries.

The TNA MP has added that he would support government actions for the welfare of his community and remain as an independent MP.
