February 26, 1952 Winston Churchill announces Britain's production of its first atomic bomb.

Unfortunately nations still think this is a worthwhile endeavor (North Korea & Iran).

How much better to see a news release that says: Gordon Brown announces the elimination of its nuclear stockpile February 26, 2010.

Nations need to seriously consider that are worthwhile endeavors, some suggestions: London becomes a truly Carbon Neutral city, The Amazon Rainforest is restored to its pre-colonial splendor, Airbus produces a zero emission aircraft powered by photovoltaics and fuel cells, Apple produces a 100% biodegradable, non-toxic organic computer that runs directly from either sunlight or ambient lighting.

What do you think nations should hold as their most important achievements and goals?
