Tom Ridge: I Was Pressured To Raise Terror Alert To Help Bush Win
Revelling news about the second election apparently stolen by Bush - G W Bush.
It seems now that Bush and his team politicised a terror threat just before Bush's re-election.
In a new book, former Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge reveals new details on politicization under President Bush, reports US News & World Report's Paul Bedard. Among other things, Ridge admits that he was pressured to raise the terror alert to help Bush win re-election in 2004.
If Tom Ridge is telling the truth then there has to be serious questions asked about how and why the press never found this out for one and why Ridge only comes out with this now. It is quite apparent that Republicans are going to question ever inhale that Obama takes, yet again, we have to ask why this was never brought to the public's attention during the Bush reign in the White House.
There are a few stories now coming out how people such as Karl Rove was involved in the sackings of people and this could culminate in a more extensive investigation should take place.
The Rovian tactics being used now may be having an effect on the healthcare debate - and if those tactics prove worthwhile to the Republicans they will use them come the mid-terms - yet we have to look at Ridge's story as a warning both now and what is to come.
Will Republicans use any method to win? Seems so, according to Ridge.
Now there is a scramble to discredit him on the news airwaves, which is to be understandable if these accusations are proven.
Were the American people duped twice to elect Bush? Many think that - now will they be proven correct.
What needs to be asked is what, if any, influence people like Karl Rove had in breaching the ethics of the presidential election.

To say that the reason people voted for President Bush in 2004 was that they were frightened based on the Terror Alert is like saying people voted for Obama based only on his ethnicity. This is not a good article, sorry.

How on this God's Earth do you make that leap?
Ridge was the top man in DHS! He was told, if he was told, to raise the level of threat DUE to the up and coming elections just 4 days away!

I wasn't duped into electing Bush. He's a great man, and he was a great president. Why does the elitist liberal media always talk to anyone who supports a conservative or a Republican like we're weak pawns who can be manipulated, while no one in the liberal media would every say "Obama convinced his gullible followers that the economy was worse that it was."
