Since terrorists take off the gloves, so should we, some state we should bomb them into the stone age, I think that too drastic, considering they are already there anyways, especially when they subscribe to a religous belief pretty much from that era.  Rights western society has fought for, Womens Rights, Gay Rights, Equality regardless of race, separation of church and state, Freedom of speech and press, the right to vote in free and democratic elections, capital punishment, trial by jury, due process, Holy Christ I could go on and on.  These radicals if they ever got a foothold in our countries political office will take everything away, that is a guarantee, as it goes against the moral authourity of the Koran.  Trust me, North America doesn't want what the european nations are currently experiencing, granted our society is not perfect, but do we want to go backwards as a culture?  Look at African dictator countries, Look at China, Cuba, North Korea and other Communist countries, look at Islamic countries and countries at war with Islamic countries because they do agree with their beliefs.  I do not think there is any communist or Islamic country at peace now or in the past.

 Now look at Western countries, are there any wars and ethnic cleansing going on their Native soil or with these Western countries warring against themselves? Save for terrorism  taking place in and against Western Countries, we are relatively at peace for the last 60 years.  Before that we have relative prosperity and peace, only interuppted by the North and South Civil war, and before that the war of 1812. 

Canada's and the USA involvement in the middle east  needs to be resolved, if not we should pull the hell out and let these warring cultures finish each other off? Do we close our embassies there and cut dipliomatic relations and immigration period?  Do we walk away and say to the innocents, "Fight your own Battles" if you are not happy with us dying on your behalf?

Western  Society cannot do the above out of moral concience, we cannot  leave the hundreds of thousands of helpless and the innocent to die at the hands in these countries despots, dictators, islamic radicals, communists, taliban etc. 

Many slam Bush, but forget for many decades Saddam  killed  hundreds of thousands of  innocent people in  his ethnic cleansing in his own country and Iran, he used  airborne Biological and Chemical warfare, we have proof, saw it on  film in the media etc..  To me his Chemical and Biological Weapons were more of a Weapon of Mass Destruction than any other Scud Missile Weapon, which were never found by inspectors, but though Saddam did not have any more Weapons of Mass Destruction, he still alluded to the world he had, more as a bluff to his enemies.   Well the USA called him on his Bluff and it led to Saddams death and a  country at war which was viewed by many as a Cultural Jewel of Civilization Historically speaking.   Lesson learned, Saddam should not have walked the talk, if he was not prepared to back it up.  North Korea is still doing the same damn thing with his talk of his Nuclear Weapons, he doesnt have them, but tell all who listens he does.  He will meet the same fate as Saddam one day, because of his bullshit.

I agree Doctor Ok, but whackos are whackos over here and over there, both need to be taken out of society.

The Republican Whackos we can easily identify and oust at election time, the other one scream bloody murder if they feel Canadian Society will not bend to their will, resulting in terrorism and death,  I think I would rather have the ones we can eject from office, instead of the ones who fly planes into offices. 

I truly believe Doves have their place, but when their wings get clipped, its time to bring in the Hawks to clean house .

Thanks Big T, as for me a McCarthyitte, nothing could be further from the truth, McCarthy and Nixon during their 1950s find every Commie were absolute Turd Burglars.   I have nothing against any Muslim who abides by our laws, or anyone else for that matter.  Muslims were just as horrified at this offence against their culture.  Just as an Irishmen, I was horrifed at the IRA Terrorist bombing in Ireland and the Commonwealth people, whiny little shits who don't get their way, feel killing every little thing on the face of the earth need to be put down permanently, and with extreme prejudice.  They should take their fight to their own country and no involve ours, they only do it here, because our liberal implemented laws allow them to exist.  As I stated before our society is far from perfect, but we are working on it.  At one time we used to burn women as witches, hang people based on their race or religious beliefs, or sexual orientation, women couldnt vote and had no rights,  jews were not allowed into country clubs, blacks sat at the back of the bus, there were commies in every closet, union busters killed workers indisciminately, like I said we could go on and on.  It has only been a scant 50 years since, and today, though not perfect, are going forwards, where as Islam has remained in the Dark ages, and will continue to do so, because their followers like the old way. Pol Pot brought his civilization to year Zero, around the same time the Birth Control pill raised the ire of the pope and church.

Did we listen to the pope? Hell No,  we progress as a  society every day.   And God Help us, if we lose one single right and freedom we fought and died for to a bunch Islamic Radicals.

I put it this way, its our way or the highway, either assimilate, integrate, love us or get the Hell outta Dodge.  The gloves are off as far as I am concerned.
