Torrential rain killed 12 in pak tribal region..

Peshawar, Aug 20 (PTI) At least 12 people, half of them women, were killed and nine others injured when torrential rains wreaked havoc in Pakistan's northwestern Bajaur tribal region, officials said today.

The roofs of two houses collapsed following heavy rains in Salarzai area of Bajaur tribal agency, the officials said, adding 12 people were killed.

Six of those killed were women while several children were among the injured, they said.

The political administration and local residents retrieved the bodies from the debris.
