The Monsoons are in full force in Pakistan. Torrential rains and flash floods inundated 50 villages in the Peshawar district, killing 29 and injuring many. A large number of rural houses have collapsed, displacing people from their homes. Besides losing their homes and cattle, farmers have also lost their standing crops. The repercussions of these damages will be felt by the people for a long time to come.

Heavy rains continued to play havoc with the country as rains and flash floods killed 29 people and injured many others on Monday.

Districts Peshawar and Kohat and the Khyber Agency were the worst affected areas, where 17 people lost their lives, while 11 others sustained injuries.

The floodwaters also washed away hundreds of houses and destroyed properties worth millions of rupees, displacing thousands of people.
