A train shuttling about 30 visitors at the Louisville Zoo derailed this afternoon, a Zoo spokeswoman said.
Three cars and the train’s engine were on their side.
Shortly after 5 p.m., ambulances were taking injured people from the Zoo, and all of the train’s passengers had been removed.
According to authorities, 18 patients were transported. All were taken to either U of L or Kosair hospital.
Two people have serious injuries, other minor injuries were treated at the scene.

No one seems to have died so far and hopefully the injured once will fully recover.
This incident wont help the Zoos future business either.

18 people have been transported to University and Cosair Children's Hospital according to Mayor Representative.
Two people have serious injuries. Others with minor injuries were treated at the scene.
The derailment occurred about two-thirds of the way through a complete loop, near the zoo's Gorilla Forest exhibit.
According to zoo representative Kara Bussabarger, the engine and three cars fell over. Approximately 30 people were on board at the time.
