Ron Paul to Bernanke: Continue Down Path of Socializing Our Entire Economy + Transparency

With already 124 cosponsors to date, the bill that Congressman Ronald Paul of Texas introduced at the end of February this year is gaining an increasing amount of support. With the promises of government transparency by President Obama, there may be the slightest hope of such a bill passing.

H.R.1207
Title: To amend title 31, United States Code, to reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported, and for other purposes.

In other words, the purpose of this bill is to allow an official financial examination of the Federal Reserve. It would benefit the American public to know what goes on with our money.

On Tuesday, the Congressman questioned Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke before the Joint Economic Committee about government intervention and the lack of transparency. A video snippet is shown above.

The current list of cosponsors may be found here.
