The uutrakhand police was on its toes after the Mumbai Attack.Fearing the strike on hospitality industry,The pol;ice personals up and acting to take the stock of the situation.

Mussoorie, 27 Nov: The tourist hill town woke up to the tragic incident of terrorist attack in Mumbai on Taj Heritage and 5 other places.
SSP Amit Sinha arrived for an emergency meeting at the police station here. The SSP directed the police personnel to visit the premiere hotels in Mussoorie for a thorough security checkup. He also directed the CO, Manikant Mishra, and station Incharge JP Kukreti to visit these hotels personally and brief him about the whole situation.
A team of dozen police personnel led by Manikant Mishra first took the stock of the security situation at Park Plaza Hotel. The accompanying local intelligence unit browsed through the check-in register of the hotel in search of any suspicious characters. Manikant Mishra was briefed by the Hotel General Manager HS Chugh on the entry and exit points in the hotel. Chugh said that their entry and exit points were manned by the security guards all the time.
The police officials also checked the other possible outlets from where the attack could possibly take place. Speaking to Garhwal Post, Chugh said that they did not have any foreign clientele staying in the hotel and, as this was off season, the domestic tourists were booked in for the last couple of days. After briefing the hotel management to remain alert considering the attacks in Mumbai, the police team also went to Fort Resort and Jaypee Residency Manor. Jaypee Manager Colonel RS Sidhu (Retd) briefed the police officials on the security of the Hotel. RS Sidhu said that the closed circuit cameras were manning every nook and corner of the Hotel and the entire hotel was surrounded by a boundary wall making it difficult for the intruders to come in.
Manikant Mishra had a detailed talk with the Mr.Sidhu and asked him to provide details of any suspicious looking guest at the Hotel.
Sidhu also said that no foreigner was booked for the moment as it was off season in Mussoorie. He also said that hotel staff was prepared for any such incident in the near future.
The security check went on till late in the evening in several other hotels. Manikant Mishra, CO City, said that this drive would carry on for a few more days and it would be regularised in the near future.
The Mussoorie Hotel Association President RN Mathur condemned the Mumbai attack categorically said, “This was an unpardonable crime that has been committed and it is due to gross negligence on the part of the Congress led government in the state and centre.” He also said that the terrorist attack on the financial capital of India by the terrorists showed utter intelligence failure.
Rakesh Badola, General Manager, Shilton Hotel condemned the attack strongly and said that the incident would make the tourists apprehensive and hurt the sentiments at a time of financial crisis.
