Mumbai: Triple bomb blast rocked west cost city of Mumbai in India, killing at least 25 people and injuring over 70 people. The first blast took place in south Mumbai's Zaveri Bazaar area near the famous Mumbadevi temple. Second  explosion was reported in a taxi in Dadar area, and the third blast reported from Opera House in Charni Road.

Union Home Ministry, which initially refused to take a stand, has later described bomb blasts in Mumbai as serial bomb blasts. Ministry officials said that Improvised explosive devices (IED) were used by the terrorists.

Mumbai is hot target of terrorist groups, and attacked several times in the past. Today they chose busiest hour and most crowded areas to explode the bombs so that maximum people could be killed.

Mumbai police spokesperson said that the first blast took place in south Mumbai's Zaveri Bazaar area near the famous Mumbadevi temple. The heavily crowded area was the target of the miscreants.

The second explosion was reported in a taxi in Dadar area, and the third blast reported from Opera House in Charni Road.

Police force is still trying to find out the nature and intensity of explosion. No terror group has taken the responsibility of the today’s bomb explosion.

The serial bomb blast re-freshened the memory of black day of 2008 when militants blew Taj, Oberoi Trident, CST railway station and Nariman House killing over 195 people and injuring 325.
