Update: Monday, 5:30 PM, New Orleans breathes a sigh of relief. Edouard passes us by!
We got some rainband clouds, but little rain so far.
TS Edouard winds still maximum 45 MPH, but might diminish within 24 hours.
Two Louisiana parishes evacuate low-lying areas, because of possible storm surges.
Some coastal areas experiencing rain and winds.
(This is all from area TV News.)
Tropical Storm Edouard formed in the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday afternoon and is heading toward the Texas coast, where a hurricane watch or warning could be posted by this morning, the National Hurricane Center said.
Path will rake Louisiana coast but does not include New Orleans.
It is possible the storm could become a hurricane before making landfall.

Nerves will be fractured. Jokes in the Time-Picayune comments do reflect conflicted emotions in New Orleans.
Folks are warning everyone to clean out the storm drains in their neighborhoods. Clogged drains cause water to rise in the streets during intense rainstorms. They also need to clean up the leaves and grass from their yards too. Some want to hang anyone who uses a 'leaf-blower', cuz it just blows the stuff around, and will end up clogging the drains.
This is pertinent, cuz back in 1996, May rainstorm water went from ankle deep to waist high in just an hour! 100,000 cars were destroyed that weekend.
