Unknown gunmen have killed three people in the Afghan capital, Kabul, including two foreigners, police said.

Two other people were hurt in the attack, which took place the Sher Pur area, where many foreigners live.

It comes after an aid worker with dual South African and British nationality was shot dead in Kabul on Monday.

Taleban militants reportedly said they had killed Gayle Williams, 34, because she was working for a Christian group.

The attacks come amid rising violence in Afghanistan, including the killing of three foreign women in Kabul in August.
