Mount Rushmore is in the Black Hills of South Dakota. In the sculpture, Thomas Jefferson stands behind George Washington. This is the case with all great men; other great men stand behind them. Washington's Birthday and Lincoln's Birthday are worth celebrating, as they set these men apart. But the Presidency of the United States of America has been served by many other great men, as well. They, too, are worthy of the annual recognition and remembrance.
