Two killed at courthouse in Bavaria, Germany
There has been a fatal shooting at a courthouse in Bavaria, Germany.
A woman has been killed, and the gunman killed himself inside the courthouse with a few more hurt at 10/10.15am (Germany local time).
At least two people have been killed in a shooting at a courthouse in Bavaria, in the south of Germany, police say.
Several others were reported to have been injured in the attack in Landshut, 73km (45 miles) north-east of Munich.
Police spokesman Leonard Mayer said the gunman was believed to have killed himself. It was not clear who else died in the shooting.
"According to my information there are two people dead," he said, adding that the attack "came out of the blue".
"The gunman is no longer on the move," Mr Mayer said. "The situation has calmed down."
The courthouse was completely evacuated after the shooting, which began at about 1015 local time (0815 GMT).
The shooting comes less than a month after a teenager went on a gun rampage in and around his former school in Winnenden, south-west Germany, killing 15 people.

However did he get a gun into a courthouse? . I thought metal detectors and security at entrances were pretty well worldwide now.

not in germany. you can walk into any court like entering a taxi - no control. and note, it's actually never been part of the german culture to control such places since, normally, no one goes in there to play rambo.
