Two men, Timothy Tross and Ben Clifford, interrupted a Rick Santorum event in Illinois with a same-sex kiss, and were promptly ejected by security when the crowd turned on them.

Three men and a woman were removed from a political event for Rick Santorum at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Illinois on Friday after they started shouting at the presidential candidate.

The two men interrupted Rick Santorum 15 minutes into his speech, by chanting, "USA, USA." One lady hit them with her cane while another pulled their hair. The two men kissed then left the event. Once they had the crowd’s attention, they kissed each other. They were then escorted out of the rally by security.

“I don’t think the message should be about what my sexuality is. It’s the message that he’s saying about sexuality that matters,” said Timothy Tross in an interview
