This is an unfortunate situation, however it is the reality of the day in Afghanistan.

How long US will continue occupation of Afghanistan?a mess of its own making for geo-economic reasons. How did it occur to Obama that deployment of more troops in Afghanistan would bring situation under control. That was mere wishful thinking.
It is time for a pragmatic decision. One more Vietnam or withdrawl of troops.

t k kidwai: I think that if enough troops were sent to Afghanistan and the American and NATO troops were given the green light to flush out and kill the enemy and anyone suspected of being the enemy, the situation would be under control. There are only so many insurgents. That will probably never happen though, especially under the Obama Administration. I agree with you: America needs to get the hell out of there. But it will probably be a long time (if ever) before that happens, because Obama made Afghanistan his war. Now Obama has to come up with a way to save face, as it were. In the meantime, troops continue to die. All the blood spilled in Afghanistan is now on Obama's hands. The American left accused the previous administration of murder and genocide. Let's see if they apply the same standard to Obama as they did to Bush.

and can i just sayy......as americans we do have the power to make our soldiers come home...its just the time it would take to do it! We look like the terrorists in this situation becuz the taliban torcher ppl to get info..we do the SAME thing over there to them! Were just as wrong,, if not more wrong becuz you dont see them stationed everywhere in the usa....we're in there territory. And quite frankly i think were doing nuthing but pissing them off by being over there! They need to send out troops home...and train here so well be ready if anything were to ever happen on out soil!! if we have the technology to see something coming towards us from outter space, then there should be no reason why our men arent home keepin a good eye on whats coming toward our country. God bless you all that have lost someone to this war, or know someone in the war, its sad <3 they need to come home and be w. there loved ones <3 i thought we voted for Obama cause we were ready for a change?? i think weve all waited long enough.
