After the delhi blast  just few days back, Delhi police is hunting the terrorist aggresively.The home minister is under constant attack by media as well as opposition paties.

latest news is that two terrorist have been guned down by the police.

An encounter is reportedly going on at Jamia Nagar in Okhla, south Delhi between a group of militants and special cell of Delhi Police.

According to police, two militants have been killed in the encounter.

National Security Guard personnel have also reached at the encounter site. A Special cell officer has been injured in the encounter.

The encounter is going on near the Khaliullah mosque in Okhla. The buildings in the area have been cordoned off.

According to police sources, there is possibility of two or three holed up militants.

The police got the information about the militants on Thursday night. There was high-level meeting of the police. The NSG was also informed about it.

The sound of firing can be heard in distant areas as well.

Home Minister Shivraj Patil has rushed to the police HQ. Police has questioned number of people in this area in last couple of days.

Atiq, wanted in connection with the serial blasts in Ahmedabad and Delhi, and one of his associates were killed when a police team stormed the house where they were holed up, Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Karnail Singh told reporters at the end of the encounter that lasted more than an hour.

While one militant was arrested, two managed to escape during the operation, he said.

Mohan Chand Sharma, an inspector who led the team, and a head constable were injured in the heavy exchange of fire.
