In the United States, prisoners receive universal health care, as do terrorist suspects at Guantanamo Bay; even the Iraqis have health care (thanks to President Bush in 2004), but 47 million Americans do not have health care coverage. One uninsured man, who lost his job, decided to get health care for his young son the hard way... re-enlist in the U.S. Army.
Army SPC Greg Missman had ended his military service 11 years earlier, but signed back on in order to provide his young son Jack with health insurance coverage. After only one month on the ground in Afghanistan, Missman’s father Jim received the news that Greg’s convoy had been ambushed, and Greg was killed in the attack.
CNN reports that a “Pentagon spokesman said there is no way to count how many soldiers have joined the armed services to get health care benefits. As for Greg Missman, his son will continue receive military health insurance so this soldier’s sacrifice will live on.”

My "obvious slant?" Excuse me that is what Greg Missman's FATHER said, are you actually suggesting that I am conspiring with CNN and Greg Missmam's father?
I never failed ONCE to acknowledge his sacrifice for his family, THAT'S WHAT THE ENTIRE article is about. You seem to have serious reading comprehension problems.
The Afghani people are living in freedom under US military occupation? Interesting logic you have there
I would hope the Taliban is brought to justice along with the surviving members of the Reagan administration who ARMED the TALIBAN.
I am neither praising or rebuking Bush, I am simply reporting FACTS.
Honestly, I could really care less if I have "failed" in the eyes of someone who admires the well-known 9/11 conspiracist/crackpot David Ray Griffin.

The targedy of soldier speaks in volumes of the shallow American system where every thing has been outsourced even US administration to Israel.
For those who are not well acquainted with wretched American system which cares more for profits of corporations than its citizens' health is sad commentary.
This poor soldier, poor in the sense that he couldn't afford health care insurance,a system which keeps greedy health insurance companies and hospitals in permanent good health, for his son sacrificed his life:reward-health insurance coverage for his son.
No soldier is sacrificing his life for the Americans,in fact is sacrficing precious gift of God to protect interests of greedy corporate houses who make profits on the coffins.

Kidwai, to hear you tell it, America is a shallow, greedy, wretched, system that cares more about profiteering from the lives of our young men and women than it cares about the human race. "Corporate houses who make profits on coffins". YOU ARE WRONG and seriously misguided. The hard working, honest, caring and exceedingly generous American people give more, volunteer more, and provide more to the poor and less fortunate among us of the human race then any other nation in the history of the world. If you cannot just be thankfull for what America gives you and your country maybe you should return some of the $86 Million Dollars we gave INDIA in 2008. A good start would be writing a check to the son of Army SPC Greg Missman.

Dear friend I wrote about American system-political and economic-not American people.
Americans have killed more people than they have helped. If you learn about these figures, each person killed by Americans wasn't worth 0.25US$.
You are talking about 86 Million US$ which US gave to India,do you know Union Carbide,an American mutinational, killed, maimed and impaired thousands and thousands in the city of Bhopal. Not a single penny compensation has been paid till date even after lapse of three decades.
As far caring by American establishment goes ask a Latin American,Vietnamese,Indonesian,Laotian,Afghan,Iraqi,Palestenian and Pakistani, apart from others, and gauge the response.

You insult America and our generosity. Facts are stubborn things. Your hatred of the American system is a cowardly attempt to say you love American people but hate our government.
The Union Carbide disaster in Bhopal was a horrible disaster.
Your statement that Americans have killed more people then they have helped is not supported by facts. If you are going to post wild claims against the hearts and decency of Americans try doing a little research before spewing your venom.
Some FACTS:
March 1986 saw Union Carbide propose a settlement figure, endorsed by plaintiffs' US attorneys, of $350 million that would, according to the company, "generate a fund for Bhopal victims of between $500–600 million over 20 years". In May, litigation was transferred from the US to Indian courts by US District Court Judge. Following an appeal of this decision, the US Court of Appeals affirmed the transfer, judging, in January 1987, that UCIL was a "separate entity, owned, managed and operated exclusively by Indian citizens in India". (Understand that this was a company owned by Indian citizens ) The judge in the US granted Carbide's forum request, thus moving the case to India. This meant that, under US federal law, the company had to submit to Indian jurisdiction.
So, your statement: "Not a single penny compensation has been paid till date even after lapse of three decades" is reason for all that read your ramblings to question your authority and desire for honest debate.
Guaging the response of misinformed people of the world is not a fruitfull endeavor. Finding facts and making an informed impartial opinion is a much more enlightning excersise.

Oh, by the way Eventually, in an out-of-court settlement reached in 1989, Union Carbide agreed to pay US$470 million for damages caused in the Bhopal disaster.

I am not insulting America,it is America who has insulted, humiliated and killed humanity. It is preposterous to say that Americans are generous, have helped needies, poors.Every American move in the guise of humanitarian concern is a ploy to further commercial, political and strategic interests of US Imperialists.
I'll quote from Ramsey Clark's(ex-Attorney General,an American not Asian)letter to UN security Council, dated July 29,2002."If the United Nations is unable to restrain the United States,a permanent member of Security Council from committing CRIMES AGAINST PEACE AND HUMANITY".Who else has written a letter to Council of five permanent bandits to restrain cheif bandit?
What America is can at best be described in the words of Italian political thinker,Machiavelli:"(T)hus it comes about that all armed prophets have conquered and unarmed ones failed".The modern day armed prophet has failed unarmed, peace and love preaching Prophet,Christ.
Union carbides culpablity in Bhopal gas tradegy can be proved from these facts:
a) the company failed to notify the authorities(Indian authorities,corrupt authorities to be more appropriate) of the large quantity of MIC stored at the plant;
b) the ridiculous plea of Union Carbide that gas leakage caused by an act of sabotage of an employee who deliberately introduced water into a methyl isocrynate storage tank.Union Carbide never disclosed the name of that employee nor lodged even formal a formal complaint with police.Secondly,the plant was designed such a way that it rendered it vulnerable to disaters,security norms mandatory at such plants were compromised to reduce costs;
c) Union Carbide switched over to MIC to reduce cost and make more profits even at risks to human life.Refused to shif the plant to an industrial zone far away from populated areas despite urges from concerned authorities. The same reasons were stated:it would be expensive.
You might have heard of Enron.Do you need more proofs of greed of American Corporations, prophets of doom and destruction.
Now a little bit on war crimes committed by US EMPIRE,a benign empire to brutal, corrupt dictators and morachs and impalnted presidents(Hamid Karzai and Maliki and their ilks). It is really a tough job where to start from and where to end. There is a long list of countries where US Empire intervened with all means at her disposal to bring down a government which was a serious threat to American project of world domination.Even killing of thousands of innocent Americans mattered too little if hindrance could be overcome to further agenda of controlling energy resources.Plot after plots are hatched .
9/11 was orchesterated by Bush Bin Satan. If you don't beleive kindly take some pains to read a book titled "9/11 and American Empire",edited by David Ray Griffin and Peter Dale Scott(Volume 1),Kevin Barrett,John Cobb.Jr.and Sandra Lubarsky (Volume 2).Eye witness accounts, scientific eveidence is there to prove the involement of Bush administration.
Don't forget:patriotism is last refuge of a scoundrel, patriot act could be whose I leave it to your judgement.

I've interviewed David Ray Griffin, he's a crackpot who actually cites previous opinions of his own to support his latest whacko claims, very circular reasoning with no logic base or objective facts.
There is no proof whatsoever that the Bush administration was involved in 9/11, other than their extreme negligence to heed the warnings of Richard Clarke in August on 2001.
at 21:59 on September 9th, 2009
Have you read both volumes? If not, please read.Answer questions raised by many contributors, contest the scientific facts, evidence.Could you please post the interview ,enabling us to decide who is a crackpot.

One important point.Government is one thing, public another. To drive my point home I can qoute American intellectuals, academics, artists and human right actvitists who hated American establishment but that doesn't mean that they were cowards, your definition of coward could be a definition by a coward.
Read Michael Moore,Noam Chomski,Howard Zinn,Willium Blum and a lot of like them.who are Americans and are as loyal citizens as any American, even more than those who pretend like you.
