Several protestors were arrested at the University of British Columbia late last night.

The students were protesting the loss of public space on campus, including plans to build an underground bus loop. At the end of the evening, some students lit a bonfire which attracted the attention of firefighters and police, including the RCMP's UBC detachment. Attempts to put out the fire led to altercations between police and students.

About 20 people were arrested, and charges are pending.

I guess these protestors are not the same ones who protest lack of good public transit.  LOL!  Oh well it's university...time to protest everything and anything.    Some day they will graduate and have important things to worry about.

They can protest now because they still have time to! There's no time after university!
