Britain on Sunday pledged nine million dollars to help Pakistan fight terror with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said that his country would provide technical and financial assistance to Pakistan to effectively counter terrorism and radicalization.

British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown on Sunday pledged nine million dollars to Pakistan as part of a "comprehensive anti-terror programme."

Addressing a joint press with President Asif Zardari in Islamabad on Sunday, the British prime minister said terrorism is a global problem and needs to be dealt with through concerted efforts.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said that his country would provide technical and financial assistance to effectively counter terrorism and radicalization. He said Pakistan has reiterated its cooperation in the investigation of Mumbai attacks.


Addressing a joint Press conference with President Asif Ali Zardari here on Sunday, Brown said terrorism is a global problem and needs to be dealt with concerted efforts. He said Britain would enhance its cooperation with Pakistan so that it could effectively deal with the menace of growing radicalization and terrorism.


President Zardari highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to ease tension with India and said India has not shared any evidence with Pakistan as regards Mumbai attacks. He said Pakistan and Britain are enjoying close and cordial relations which would be further enhanced in various fields.


Zardari said Pakistan wants peace in South Asia and rejects terrorism and extremism in all forms and manifestations.
