The United Nations has accused rebel tamil tigers of forcibly holding innocent tamil citizens and preventing them from leaving the war zone.
The United Nations says it has received reports that Tamil Tiger rebels are actively preventing civilians from leaving Sri Lanka's war zone.It says a growing number of those trying to leave have been shot at and some have been killed.
Tens of thousands of civilians are believed to be trapped after weeks of heavy fighting, mostly in a government "safe zone" along the north coast.
The Tigers have regularly denied claims they are using civilian human shields.
'Forcible recruitment'
A statement from the United Nations in Sri Lanka says its concern for the safety of civilians caught up in the fighting has been heightened by reports it has received over the past few days.

I think any body can accuse, Since this humanitarian missions started lot of people, countries accused and still accusing the Government of Sri Lanka. I think rather accusing this, UN should take firm actions on LTTE. World and people does not need UN to make only statements or accuse when they really need there assist.

Hilarious thing is that only now "the reports are being received" by the UN. All this while they were BUSY villifying SL Government to take note of these "trivial" matters.
