"Permanent status issues, including Jerusalem, borders, refugees, security, settlements and water will be resolved only through negotiations," Ban said in a message to the UN meeting in support of Israeli-Palestinian peace being held in Qawra, Malta.

Talking about peace is

always a good idea for

any countries.  However,

unless both sides of the

dispute are willing to talk

in good faith and willing

to compromise talking

will not advance peace.

The United Nations must assert control over Jeruselem. The Israelis must trade a larger portion of the West Bank in exchange for relocating all Palestinians from Gaza. Then, everyone needs to knock it off.
