Over a year after the death of Benazir Bhutto, the former Pakistani Prime Minister, the United Nations is setting up a commission to investigate her assassination.
The Pakistan People's Party said the UN commission will investigate her murder, which happened on December 27, 2007. The government stated they would provide all evidence to the UN team, though it is unknown how much they will find a year after the attack.
The United Nations is set to establish a commission to investigate the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, Press TV reports on Sunday.”The Secretary-General is hopeful that, with the progression of the discussions, the commission could be established in the near future,” said a statement issued by the office of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the first anniversary of Bhutto‘s assassination.
Meanwhile, presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar welcomed the UN probe in Benazir's assassination.
"We requested the UN to constitute an investigation commission so that the people who were behind the tragedy could be exposed," Babar said, adding that the announcement regarding the UN commission's formation was a good omen.

Will it not be rather hard to find any real evidence a year after the facts? I am not sure about this.
