UN says Hamas Committed War Crimes in Gaza War

The report also said rockets fired by Palestinian militants into Israel where there were no military targets would also constitute war crimes, and perhaps crimes against humanity.

"The rocket and mortar attacks have caused terror in the affected communities of southern Israel, causing loss of life and physical and mental injury to civilians, as well as damage to buildings and property," it said.

No rational person can claim that firing rockets at civilians is self defense.

In addition when the fighting began Hamas hid in hospitals, behind women and children, and near UN facilities. After all their pre war bravado and bragging that Gaza would be a graveyard for Israelis Hamas killed only six soldiers because they were hiding like rats in holes, doing nothing to defend their land and people.

A Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip rejected the suggestion that the Islamist group's firing of rockets into Israel could also amount to war crimes. He said it was self-defense, which is "a right sacred under international law."

95% of the blame for Gaza's suffering is on Hamas.

The commission never even mentioned the fact that Hamas were terrorists. Terrorizing their own people.

That is true.

Since the Hamas military coup in Gaza Hamas has killed more Palestinians than has Israel.

Far more.

Facts.

Hamas started the war by firing at civilians.

Hamas then ran and hid.

Hamas did nothing to defend their country.

Hamas could have fought outside populated areas. No civilians would then be endangered.

Hamas is 95% to blame for present suffering in Gaza.

What would Russia do if Georgia fired at its civilians.?

lorac,

I am very impressed by your intellectual 'sponsor' Aristotle.  But to say it frankly I am much less impressed by your own deductions and what you call facts..

On the whole who really care about what you write about Israel...with the help of Aristotle.

I am sure that you will find another intellectual sponsor to denounce my logical fallacies..

Goldstone and Gaza

By Jimmy Carter

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/06/opinion/06iht-edcarter.html

Knowing of the ability of Israeli forces, often using U.S. weapons, to strike targets with pinpoint accuracy, it was difficult to understand or explain the destruction of hospitals, schools, prisons, United Nations facilities, small factories and repair shops, agricultural processing plants and almost 40,000 homes

Duh! That is where Terrorists hide. But  he is too stupid and gets bundles of money from the Arab league to say anything truthful.
